Founded in 1973, Ching Hsing Iron Works Co., Ltd. Is one of Taiwan's major manufacturers of plastic sheet extruders. The company boasts comprehensive manufacturing technology and sophisticated know-how in producing precision machinery for the extruding of high-grade plastic sheets.

The company's major product lines include conductive plastic-sheet extruders, PET (polyethylene terephthalate) sheet extruders, 5-60% carbon electric-conductivity sheet extruders, multilayer-sheet extruders, and TPU (thermosetting polyurethane) film extruders.

The company's electric-conductivity plastic sheet extruders are suitable for making conductive HIPS (high-impact polystyrene) sheets and polymer thermistor sheet, used in packing resistors, semiconductors, and electronics components-any type of item that requires static-proof packing.

The PET sheet extruders are suitable for transparent packing containers (for strawberries, cherries, sushi, eggs, and so on), trays (biscuits, chocolates, snacks), cups, lids, cake covers, industrial packing (blister wrap for stereos, toys, and 3C-related--computers, communications, and consumer-electronics--parts).

The flexible films produced by the TPU film extruders are environment-friendly "green" materials featuring a unique combination of mechanical, physical, and chemical properties; they have high-tensile strength, excellent abrasion and weather resistance, and outstanding flexibility, are non-toxic (sterilized), recyclable, and decomposable. These technologically advanced materials can be used for diving suits, waterbeds, wind-cheaters, down jackets, plasma bags, shoes, shin protectors, swimming gloves, a wide variety of sporting goods, and orthopedic supports.

Ching Hsing says it has been striving to develop machines for the production of environmentally friendly materials by using its core expertise in the fields of chemical ingredients and mechanical structure.

To cope with the ever-changing demands of its customers from around the world, Ching Hsing began developing and producing PET sheet extruders approximately seven years ago, which management states have been very well received. The company has also enjoyed great success with its carbon electric-conductivity sheet extruders; the plastic sheet produced with this machine can be as little as 0.005mm in thickness.

To develop more sophisticated machines to meet the special requirements of customers from around the world, in January 2005 the company relocated its original plant in Taiwan's Panchiao City, Taipei County, to a new and larger plant of 400 square meters in nearby Tucheng City, also in Taipei County.

The company says its products are mainly sold to such Southeast Asian nations as Thailand and Indonesia, in addition to the domestic market. Major clients include King Yuan Fu Packing Co., Mizuya Co., and Sinar Plastic Co.
