Founded in 1976 by Dennis Tsai, Ken Test Combination Products Co., Ltd. Specializes in the production of various kinds of masonry tools. The company boasts it is one of Taiwan's few manufacturers specializing in the production of relatively small-sized tile tools for the DIY (do-it-yourself) and home-repair market.

Ken Test's main production facility is located in Tatu of Taichung County, central Taiwan. The company's 100% owned main production facility specializes in tile tools. In addition, the company has three supportive plants specializing in other kinds of masonry tools that the main facility doesn't produce. The quality of the products made by the supportive plants is ensured because the company inspects every items of these products before they are delivered to its main factory for final assembly.

Ken Test positions itself as a specialist manufacturer of DIY masonry tools that feature convenience in use. That's why it hasn't involved itself in the production of large-sized electric tools ever since its inception. The company believes global demand for the DIY masonry tools is larger than the professional ones.

At present, the company's product lines, including those made by supportive plants, are finishing trowels, inside/outside corner tools, replacement soft/wood handle trowels, jointer and concrete tools, notched trowels, Europe/U.S.-style trowels, mixer and drywall tools, hammers, tile cutters and accessories. The company boasts it is capable of rolling out one or two innovative items per year.

To ensure the production of high-quality products, Kent Test insists that some key parts have to be imported from advanced industrialized nations. For instance, the company currently imports most of steel plates from the U.S. and a number of industrially advanced European nations.
