Delta Electronics recorded 27.34% growth in Jan. revenue

Taipei, Feb. 13, 2003 (CENS)--Delta Electronics Inc., the largest local manufacturer of power supplies listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange (TSE), rang up revenue of NT$4.639 billion last month, rising by 27.34% from the same month of 2002.

The aforementioned revenue for last month included production of power supplies and related products in Taiwan and mainland China as well as domestic production of networking equipment, Delta Electronics indicated.

Delta Electronics' domestic production of power supplies and related products in Taiwan and mainland China brought in revenues of NT$3.932 billion and NT$4.129 billion respectively, last month. Moreover, the company garnered revenue of NT$636 million from selling networking products.

The three figures summed up to NT$8.697 billion. Deducting the total double-counting value of NT$4.058 billion for trades among different divisions of the company, the resulting net revenue stood at NT$4.639 billion, growing by 27.34% from the NT$3.643 billion posted in January 2002.

Last year, Delta Electronics raked in revenue of NT$32.036 billion, pretax profit of NT$4.525 billion, and after-tax profit of NT$4.204 billion with net (after-tax) earnings per share of NT$3.12.

Li Shin International Enterprise Corp., another TSE-listed local company in the line, chalked up revenue of NT$330 million last month, going up by 26% from December last year. The company expects its power supplies used in notebook PCs to account for over 50% of its total revenue for this year.
