Yeun Chyang Industrial hit record high revenue in July

Taipei, Aug. 15, 2003 (CENS)--Yeun Chyang Industrial Co., Ltd., a main local producer of stainless steel tubes listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange, brought in revenue of NT$374 million in July, the highest monthly figure ever for the company.

Yeun Chyang's revenue for last month jumped by 32.35% from July last year. In the first seven months, the company raked in revenue of NT$2.314 billion, rising by 28.35% from the same period of last year.

In addition to production of stainless steel tubes, Yeun Chyang began to provide services of cutting and grinding stainless steel sheets in coil and stainless steel plates this month for additional revenue of NT$80-100 million a month.

New Best Wire Industrial Co., Ltd., a local steel manufacturer listed on the local over-the-counter bourse, garnered revenue of NT$861 million in the first seven months, inching up by 1.5% from the same period of 2002.

New Best Wire produces stainless steel wire, carbon steel wire, and alloy steel wire. With pretax profit of NT$6.31 million for July, the company registered seven-month pretax profit of NT$90.74 million, a whopping year-on-year rise of 146.64% and translating into earnings per share of NT$1.71.
