Taipei, Taiwan April 30th 2008 - TAITRONICS 2008 (The 34th Taipei Int'l Electronics Show) organized by TAITRA (Taiwan External Trade Development Council) and TEEMA (Taiwan Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers' Association) turns on from October 7th to October 11th 2008 at the TWTC Nangang Exhibition Hall.

More than 1,200 exhibitors will use 2,600 booths in this massive display area that unfolds in 11 theme areas. Key exhibitors include such big names as Kolin, Teco, D-Link, Winbond, and Shihlin Electric who will display such products as Electronic Components & Equipment, Meters & Instruments, Wires & Cables, Electronic Manufacturing Equipment, Inspection Equipment, Consumer Electronics, Security Systems & Products, Computers & Peripherals, and Auto Electronics.

This year's TAITRONICS presents theme areas to match coming trends. The LED Area, for example, displays environmentally-friendly, energy-saving LED related products to counter soaring energy prices. Among participants will be such famed manufacturers as Everlight Electronics (with the 7th largest market share in the world), and Taiwan Oasis, the packaging giant, as well as Lenoo Electronics, Yellow Stone, Powertronics, Tary Technology and Tend Technology, who are specialized in SMD LED, LED displays and LED related parts and accessories. It's here where domestic and international buyers can gain an overview of the most promising LED products in Asia.

Also important is the Safety Surveillance Devices Area, where heavy-weight manufacturers like, Hunt Electronic, SOYAL TECHNOLOGY, Everspring, GKB CCTV, and Good Will Instrument will be present. The CCTV surveillance systems, digital camcorders, image transmission equipment, lenses, and protection shields produced by these manufacturers have been very popular among international buyers. There will be many new products introduced in this year's show as well.

Other key areas include IC Design, Taiwan Products of Excellence, and Intelligent Energy-Saving Houses, which will provide domestic and international manufacturers and buyers with excellent exchange platforms to effectively promote business opportunities. With the show comes the Cross Strait Area that facilitates exchange opportunities for manufacturers doing business with China.

Held for the first time in the 2005 TAITRONICS AUTUMN, the highly praised Capacitor and Resister Technology Symposium (CARTS) Asia Taiwan will continue this year for the fourth time with TAITRONICS 2008. In this year's symposium, participants will discuss important issues regarding global trade, financial analysis and forecasts on the OEM and wholesale markets for capacitors and resisters in China and Southeast Asia, and the influence and impacts of environmental protection.

This is also the place to hear world famous market consultants analyze the latest trends on capacitors and resisters and their potential business opportunities while at the same time forecasting the global market trend between now and 2009. On the other hand, the Technology Exchange Forum will cover research reports from CARTS USA and other parts of the world and carry on an in-depth discussion on the design, application and materials of capacitors and resisters.

Several other seminars have also been arranged. These include those introducing the IECQ system, IC Design, RFID applications, and mobile broadband technology.

To maximize the international publicity and influence of Taiwan's electronics-related industries, TAITRA is also holding the Taiwan International RFID Applications Show and BROADBAND Taiwan at the TWTC Nangang Exhibition Hall concurrently with TAITRONICS. In addition, Taiwan International Photovoltaic Forum & Exhibition, a two-day event, will also be in session on October 7th and 8th in the International Convention Center and Exhibition Hall 1 of the Taipei World Trade Center.

These carefully planned four shows have achieved top standing in Asia in terms of scale, selection, and service. They provide international buyers with excellent opportunities for procurement, exploration of business opportunities, partnership, investment, and technological exchanges and are expected to attract more 70,000 domestic and international industrial professionals.

In addition, the organizers will hold a pre-show international press conference for TAITRONICS in the VIP Briefing Room on the 4th floor of the TWTC Nangang Exhibition Hall at 11:00pm on the second day (June 4th) of COMPUTEX TAIPEI this year.
