Founded in 1998 in Taipei, Handy Get Opto Electronics Co., Ltd. is versed in LED packaging, thermal-dissipation modules and LED end products.

The company is now promoting several LED lighting products, including MR16 lights, T8 tubes, recessed lights, podium lamps, down lights, cabinet lights, spot lights, and decorative lights. The 13.5W T8 tube comes in white-light type and warm-white type, with the former giving off brightness of 650 lumens and the later 500 lumens.

The company is running one packaging factory each in Taipei of Taiwan and Taishan of Guangdong, turning out a combined 70 million LED devices a month. These devices are packed with chips either from Cree or Taiwanese chipmakers. The mainland factory deals with two-pin packaging while the Taiwan factory handles SMD packaging.

The two factories produce single-chip and multi-chip LED packages. Recently, the company has introduced a 10W, 700-lumen lamp by mounting 100 chips on an aluminum substrate. Mature packaging technique has maintained color rendering index of the company's lamps at over 80.

In addition to lighting products, the company's LED devices also go into backlights for LCD monitors and mobile phones, billboards, and auto lamps. These devices are contracted by other end-product manufacturers or built into the company's lighting products.

The company's thermal-dissipation modules maintain junction temperature of its LED lighting products under 60 Celsius degrees, ensuring an average lifespan of 20,000 hours for its products.

The company is certified to meet ISO9001, ISO9002, ISO14001 and TS16949 standards. (KL)
