The company's high rigidity roller type linear guideway RG series is ideal for automation systems, transportation equipment, CNC machining centers, heavy-duty cutting machines, CNC grinding machines, injection molding machines, plano millers, electric discharge machines and devices that require high rigidity or high loading capacity.

On June 26, 2009, Hiwin was officially listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange (TWSE) at the initial public offering price of NT$24 (US$0.73) per share. The company's share shot up 31.2% to close at NT$31.5 (US$0.96) on the first trading day.

Hiwin had a 60% share of domestic market with combined sales reaching NT$6.44 billion (US$196.34 million) in 2008. After years of development, the company has become the No.1 brand in the China market. The company currently exports 70% of its total sales.
