Neo-Neon TDRs Listed on TWSE

Taipei, Dec. 23, 2009 (CENS)--Neo-Neon Holdings Limited, one of the world's leading manufacturers of decorative lighting products, on December 22 floated stocks on the Taiwan Stock Exchange (TWSE) in the form of Taiwan depository receipts (TDRs) with a listing code of 911868. The Neo-Neon TDR shot up by the daily ceiling limit of 7% to close at NT$13.8 per unit on the launch day.

Neo-Neon, founded in Taiwan in 1978, now sells the majority of Christmas lights to the world as well as other decorative lighting products to the U.S., Europe and Asia. In 1989, the company moved its production lines to Heshan of Guangdong province, mainland China. The move enabled it to control production costs much more effectively by supplying parts, components and even packaging materials through its own subsidiaries, making its plants 90% self-reliant.

Neo-Neon manufactures a wide range of lighting products, which are used around the world, decorating millions of homes, landmarks, buildings, workplaces, shopping centers, and alike.

The company is also a major producer of high-tech light-emitting diode (LED) decorative illumination products worldwide and has received many international awards for design and quality.

Neo-Neon began investing in research and development in 1996, leading to the mass production of LED decorative lights in 2002. Since that time, the company has put dozens of LED products on the marketplace. Neo-Neon now employs over 300 engineers and spends a significant amount of its revenue on R&D each year. The company has obtained more than 350 patents in China, Taiwan, Japan, Europe, the U.S., and Australia.

The success of Neo-Neon can be attributed to the implementation of vertically integrated business model, which results in the creation and mass production of affordable products. Its flexible LED neon lights LED Neon-Flex series, for instance, consume very limited power compared to traditional glass neon lights and lasts up to 10 times longer.

Two years ago Neo-Neon unveiled an entire line of commercial lighting products, including HID, compact fluorescent, RGB LED, AWB (amber white blue), and the new white LED (WLED) technologies. The company is currently focusing on a new series of LED application in the vision series products, embodying all visual based LED technologies that create visual patterns or video images.
