LED Desk Lamps Gain Popularity in China

This has attracted the interest of suppliers from all over world, who hope to take advantage of the huge potential for sales in China.
The Ritek Corp. of Taiwan, for instance, is marketing its Myeco Luxmour LED desk lamp, which claims an electricity saving of 40% and is free of ultraviolet rays and heat radiation. In addition, it is attractive to the eye, thanks to a patented light-screening design which eliminates glare and double shadow.
The Luxmour LED lamp has a touch switch, offers a choice of five levels of luminosity, and has a bendable arm that allows the lamp to be adjusted for optimal position.
Enfren Co., Ltd. of Korea has introduced the LTK-1500 LED desk lamp, featuring adjustable height and angle, thanks to a spring tube. The product has three options for level of luminosity and is touch-operated.
The Highwire LED desk lamp series from Japan's Balmuda Corp. is designed mainly for the illumination of monitors and can alleviate eye fatigue for people who have to work in front of computer for long periods. The Highwire desk lamp features four LED light tubes; a sub-model, the Highwire Smooth, has only two LED light tubes but can produce 70-80% of the luminosity of the main series. Lamps in this series are furnished with a "soft activation" function, allowing them to produce luminosity in a gradual manner. Luminosity can also be adjusted within a 50% range.
Herman Miller, a U.S. furniture heavyweight, has rolled out the Leaf Light LED desk lamp featuring a special design for highly effective heat dissipation without the need of a fan. The lamp features adjustability of both luminosity and color, as well as a 40% power saving and a product life of 100,000 hours.
