Taipei, May 28, 2010 (CENS)--With their considerable efforts to tap green business in China paying off, three Taiwanese listed companies-Taiwan Glass Co., Ltd., Kuo Toong International Co., Ltd. and Wei Mon Industry Co., Ltd.,--are poised to reap green profits starting this year, according to institutional investors.

Taiwan Glass's reinvested Fujian Photovoltaic Glass Co., Ltd. was founded in 2009 and focuses on production of photovoltaic glass, a key component of solar cells and related products. Taiwan Glass claims to have landed orders that will be filled starting June. With maximum annual output of 50,000 metric tons of photovoltaic glass, the company expects to contribute RMB500 million to its parent company's annual revenue yearly.

Kuo Toong, a water pipe supplier, is also benefiting from China's rapid development of irrigation and hydraulic engineering works. Its reinvested company in Xinjiang Province, western China, is among China's top-five companies engaged in hydraulic engineering, and has won several big tenders for large PCCP (prestressed concrete cylinder pipes).

With an 18.75% stake held by Kuo Toong, the company earned net profits of RMB510.6 million last year, and is likely to post 70-80% growth in such figure this year.

Wei Mon, a concrete pipe manufacturer, is targeting China's segment for PLA (polylactic acid) plastic products, and will activate production lines in its factory in Xiamen, southeastern China, in mid-June, which will help distribution of PLA and finished products in China to raise PLA sales to over NT$1.2 billion this year.
