TAITRONICS, Taiwan RFID and Broadband Taiwan Corner IT Electronics Sourcing

2010/08/25 | By CENS

TAITRONICS (the 36th Taipei International Electronics Show), Taiwan RFID (the 4th Taiwan International RFID Applications Show), and Broadband Taiwan (the 3rd edition), co-organized by TAITRA and TEEMA, is scheduled for Oct. 11-14, 2010 at the TWTC Nangang Exhibition Hall.

Global buyers who look to tap Taiwan's world-leading market share for chip resistors, WLAN NIC, and IP phones, and globally No.2 manufacturing of LEDs, ICs substrates, and PCBs will find all-round sourcing convenient at the three-in-one event, where Taiwan's strength in electronics R&D, manufacturing, and logistics will be on full display.

TAITRONICS Improved

As the leading specialized procurement platform for electronics, TAITRONICS 2010 has fine tuned the exhibit layout to more effectively categorize the critical components and equipment for electronics production, including passive and active electronic components, meters and instruments, LED, manufacturing equipment, and wires and cables. The systematic arrangement facilitates one-stop shopping for upstream, midstream, and downstream key products.

Electronic components have always been the centerpiece of the show. Buoyed by growing demand for 3C products, in particular personal computers, consumer electronics, and web communications, demand for components has also been rising. Renowned exhibitors this year include industry leaders Kai Suh Suh Enterprise, K.S. Terminals, Excel Cell Electronic, and Apex Precision Technology, as well as foreign exhibitors as LEVEX Corporation and IKK SHOT of Japan.

Meters and instruments that are essential in electronic engineering will be another popular show area, and the exhibitors will include Tektronix, NF Corporation, Good Will Instrument, Motech Industries, Chroma ATE, and FineTek, all of whom are heavyweight suppliers.

Building upon the success of the previous two years, the "LED Show Area," targeting opportunities in flat panel televisions and LED illumination, is projected to attract a record number of buyers. Everlight Electronics, a key player, will be the highlight in this area. And with the steadily developing green energy market, the show is the first in Taiwan to dedicate an area to "batteries and power supplies," in which Mean Well Enterprises, offering an established own-brand of power supply, and LiTone Electronics, a specialized adaptor designer and manufacturer, will be showcasing their latest products.

Two other must-see and relevant exhibits include "Green Electronics" presented by Tatung Co. and "Cloud Computing" by Inventec.

Only RFID Event in Taiwan

Taiwan possesses a complete RFID industry chain, with operators engaged in part design upstream, integration midstream, and innovation and applications downstream. In the past, it had been difficult to reduce costs due to relatively modest market scale, which has improved with a coordinated effort by government, public sector, and private firms, who have helped to promote such applications for everyday adoption. Applications of RFID range from EasyCard and e-tickets to various trade and entertainment facilities to meat processing certification.

As the only domestic RFID show, Taiwan RFID brings together well known domestic and foreign firms, including Tektronix, Champtek, Highlight Tech, Asia Smart Tag, Smartchip Microelectronics, and Trim International. UPM RAFLATAC (UPM), a Finnish RFID firm, and TECHSIGNO SRL, an Italian RFID firm, will also be making the long trip to take part in the much anticipated event.

Broadband Looks Upbeat

Promising projections look set to drive global communications ahead in the coming year, with the continuous stream of telecom bids in Europe, the U.S. and China reflecting eagerness to push broadband into rural areas. Moreover, demand for network communication equipment in emerging markets (India, Brazil, and Southeast Asia) remains stable; therefore, production is likely to return to levels prior to the global recession.

The best part is that Taiwan Broadband will show global buyers how Taiwan is well positioned to meet such growing demand. The sector in Taiwan has a winning track record in the development of broadband communications, and domestic firms lead the international market in research capacity. Exhibitors this year include Universal Microelectronics, Delta Networks, Global Mobile Corp, and Chunghwa Telecom, with foreign exhibitors as PRESTO ENGINEERING of the United States and CYCLEO of France, all of whom will showcase a wide range of broadband and WiMAX products, applications as well as communications equipment and components.

New Launches

Six "new product launches" will confirm innovation as a feature of the three-in-one event, including the latest electronic components, LED components and applications, RFID equipment and applications, consumer electronics and batteries and power supplies, meters and instruments, industrial process and manufacturing equipment, broadband communication, and WiMAX equipment and applications.

Ample Networking Opportunities

Besides networking opportunities at the opening ceremony and the welcome cocktail party, the triple event comes with a full line-up of inter-active events to link buyer and supplier, as well as a series of seminars to address online marketing opportunities, safety & security, green electronics, and broadband networks.

The 4th Taiwan Int'l RFID Applications Conference will bring guest speakers from GE, Motorola, and Microsoft of the United States, SAP of Germany, and KT Corporation of South Korea, who will offer in-depth knowledge on potential markets as they discuss topics centering on the current development of RFID applications as well as future trends.

Taking a pro-active approach, the organizers have invited major international buyers, who will meet buyers one-on-one to discuss spec and needs at the "procurement meetings."
