Taiwan Automakers to Recruit More Employees This Year

Taipei, July 21, 2011 (CENS)--Optimistic toward the local automobile market, the Taiwan-based Yulon Group plans to recruit about 2,000 employees for green-energy R&D and vehicles sales this year.

China Motor Corp. (CMC) of Taiwan, an affiliate of Yulon Group to locally assemble Mitsubishis, has won initial success in Taiwan with its self-developed e-scooters in 2010. Aiming to develop more green vehicles, CMC plans to recruit experts in lithium-ion battery, electronics, mechanical design etc. fields, who will be well paid and whose number is indefinite.

Yulon Group also plans to invest about NT$13 billion (US$433.3 million) in new car development related to its LUXGEN line. Including new demand from other affiliates, Yulon plan to recruit about 2,000 employees this year, the highest in five years.

Hotai Motor Co. Ltd., the local agent of Toyota and Lexus, plans to recruit about 300 employees for new-car sales and after-sales services. Driven by better-than-expected sales this year, Sanyang Industry Co., Ltd., the local assembler of Hyundais, plans to recruit some 200 salespeople.
