Founded in 1980, Weteb Industrial Co., Ltd. is a veteran company specializing in making aftermarket (AM) timing items, including chain tensioners, chain guides, belt tensioners, idlers, and timing kits.

The company markets its quality products globally with its own “W.T.B.” brand, although it accepts customer requests for their own nameplates. It also asserts that it is the largest and most comprehensive supplier of timing kits on the island.

Weteb's quality products are purchased by major customers in such market areas as the United States, Europe, Latin America, South Africa, and China. One or two years after a new car model has been introduced, the company develops all of the timing parts for the great majority of new car models in the global market. Weteb develops an average of 40 to 50 new items each year, and as a result of this has also been able to continue upgrading product quality.

Unlike some of its competitors, Weteb asserts that all of its products are 100% made-in-Taiwan, which is meant to imply a higher quality level and longer product durability. The company produces some key parts in-house, closely cooperates with five satellite plants on the island, and assembles the finished products at a facility in northern Taiwan.

The company's president Zeno Lin stresses that all of Weteb's timing parts are produced using the same materials as original equipment (OE) items, and that his company's superior processing capability assures the best possible product quality and durability. In order to supply products to customers immediately, which is a very important requirement for business success in the AM auto-parts business, Weteb owns a large warehouse where a sufficient quantity of finished and semi-finished products are stored. According to Lin, with the help of this inventory Weteb can deliver most items in the company's catalogues within 15 to 20 days, and new items in 30 days.

Lin is very proud both of Weteb's high efficiency production, which is the accomplishment of a group of around 30 experienced workers, and also of the company's commitment to steady investment in new-item development. He asserts that Weteb is the best possible partner for players in the global AM timing-kit market and that he is very confident about the company's future.
