SMC Builds World-caliber Engine Technologies Into Farming and Gardening Tools

2012/03/08 | By Steve Chuang

Taipei, March 8, 2012 (CENS)--To leverage its competitive advantages, the Taiwan-based SMC Corp., a specialized maker of power farming and garden tools, has widely applied engine technologies licensed by Japan's Honda into its products.

The company stated that all of its power tools and equipment, including water pumps, knapsack power sprayers, hedge trimmers, power lawn mowers, vibrator machines, mist dusters and brush cutters, are driven by either Honda's GX25/GX35 mini four stroke OHC (overhead camshaft) engines or GX160 commercial grade engines, and hence feature light weight, powerful performance, low noise, easy ignition and high fuel efficiency.

More notable is that the company's products consuming ordinary gas have met clean-air standards required by EPA (U.S. Environmental Protection Agency), CARB (California Air Resources Board) and CE, assuring users of unquestionable safety and eco-friendly operation. To satisfy costumers with on-demand replacement of spare parts, the company has also provided a variety of parts for brush cutters, water pumps and power sprayers.

The quality-driven manufacturing has consistently been carried out by-the-book international quality standards at the factory, where the floor layout, quality control measures and facilities have been certificated to ISO9001 and CE standards.

In addition to marketing various power farming and gardening machines under the brand name of Kawata worldwide, the company can capably handle contract orders on the OEM (original equipment manufacturing) and ODM (original design manufacturing) basis, while guaranteeing customers efficient production, competitive innovation and reasonable prices.
