Taipei, Aug. 14, 2012 (CENS)--Two auto parts makers listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange (TSE) recently announced good business results for July.

Tong Yang Industrial Co., Ltd., the largest auto-parts supplier in Taiwan, announced that it raked in revenue of NT$1.1 billion (US$37 million), up 1.4% year-on-year (YoY) and the highest monthly record in this year. The firm's OE and AM parts revenues grew 2.9% and 1.2% YoY, respectively, in the month. Tong Yang is now the world's largest maker of aftermarket (AM) plastic body-parts and a major original equipment (OE) parts supplier to automakers in Taiwan, China and many other countries.

In the first seven months, Tong Yang had accumulated revenue of NT$7.38 billion (US$246 million), up 0.4% YoY.

Crispin Wu, Tong Yang's president, pointed out that his company's reinvestments in China (not included in the firm's consolidated revenue) scored total revenue of NT$6.3 billion (US$209.9 million) in the first six months. The GAIG-Tong Yang in Changsha, Hunan Province, has kicked off supplying bumpers, instrument panels, and other plastic auto parts to automakers such as GAIG-Mitsubishi, GAIG-Fiat etc. with annual production capacity of 400,000 sets.

Tong Yang is also accelerating its coating-line renovation works at its OE-parts factory in Guanyin Township, Taoyuan County, northern Taiwan, to meet increased outsourcing orders from Japanese automakers.

Macauto Industrial Co., Ltd., an OE sunshade supplier to many automakers including Mercedes-Benz, BMW etc., garnered accumulated revenue of NT$945 million (US$31.5 million) in the first seven months, up 8.6% YoY. The firm attributed the revenue gain to increasing demand from global automakers for full-view sunroof sunshades.
