During Mobile World Congress 2018 (MWC 2018), one of the most influential global exhibitions for the mobile industry, ThroughTek Co., Ltd., a leading IoT (Internet of Things) total solution provider headquartered in Taiwan, effectively captured attention from visitors with its state-of-the-art products and technology.

Solicited by Taiwan's Industrial Development Bureau (IDB), the administrative agency of the Ministry of Economic Affairs of Taiwan, ThroughTek (TUTK) joined the world's major mobile event to exhibit its high-profile Kalay Platform, a Peer-to-Peer (P2P) IoT solution for cloud surveillance.

For the past 10 years, TUTK has actively developed the Chinese market, successfully assisting Chinese hardware manufacturers to explore the markets in the U.S. and Europe with its cutting-edge technologies and solutions.

In light of growing trends for IoT applications all around the world, TUTK decided to put resources into R&D of cloud services several years ago, and has the efforts pay off in the form of steadily surging orders for its services from global IoT firms.

Developed with TUTK's unique P2P technology, the Kalay platform enables quick connection among IoT products, such as web cameras, visual doorbells, smart robots, dashboard cameras and smart home devices, simply through the scanning of QR codes by users. With the functionality, the platform improves user experiences while reducing costs of customer services provided by companies.

TUTK has become a long-term business partner to several globally well-known tech firms, including Xiaomi Inc., Hikvision, Raysharp, Guardzilla, Swann, WWM, Bosch, etc.; and has managed to expand application of its services to security surveillance, smart home, Internet of Vehicle and many others.

Worth mentioning is that among the abovementioned tech firms, Guardzilla took advantage of TUTK's IoT technology to launch a 360 degree HD webcam in 2017, and effectively won the CES 2018 Innovation Awards on the Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2018) held in Las Vegas this year.

At this year's MWC, TUTK mainly showcased its Kalay cloud technology, which enables hardware products to transmit and store images and data, and allows users to monitor and control their IoT-connected devices at any time.

Besides the platform, TUTL exhibited a series of IoT products featuring the Kalay technology, including the Furbo Treat-Tossing Pet Camera, a pet feeder that comes with 720 HD video vision developed by Tomofun, a Taiwan-based start-up; a household automation set developed by Vtech, the one stop shop service provider for the electronics manufacturing services (EMS) industry; and low power consumption visual door bells as well as the abovementioned 360 degree HD webcam that are launched by Guardzilla.
