This cone-shaped tool greatly speeds the installation of Yuan Feng Fu`s new drive-shaft CV-joint boots.

Yuan Feng Fu Auto Parts Co. recently introduced several new rubber-boot (dustcover) products and related tools for the replacement market. The new products feature universal application, ease of installation, and high quality.

One of these products is a universal-replacement steering-rod boot that can be used with 80% to 90% of all passenger cars on the world's roads (the exceptions are some European models). The product is made of special-formula high-end rubber imported from Germany, and offers unmatched expandability (by about five times), oil resistance, and durability.

Thanks to the high-end materials used, claims Yuan Feng Fu president Jordan Yu, his new universal steering-rod boots can withstand changing temperatures over long periods of time as well as pulling/stretching forces without breaking. In addition, the patented structure on each end of the boot (with both vertical and horizontal strip designs) can prevent the necks of the boots from cracking under strong and constant drag forces.

To make the installation of its universal boots easier and quicker, Yuan Feng Fu has also developed an innovative tool, an oval-shaped rod-end cap made of aluminum alloy, that cuts replacement time from about an hour to just 3-5 minutes.

Yu says that a user can easily install his new steering boot by first measuring the required length and then cutting the boot to the proper size, putting the cap onto the rod end and applying lubricating grease or oil, slipping the boot onto the steering rod by passing it through the cap's smooth oval head, pulling the boot firmly and adjusting it to the appropriate position, and finally tightening the wire binders on the boot groove.

Another of Yuan Feng Fu's new products is a universal drive-shaft constant-velocity (CV) joint boot with a cone-shaped replacement tool.

The advantages of these CV joint boots, Yu says, are the same as those of the new steering-rod boots, and the new aluminum-alloy cone-shaped tool makes for easier installation on drive shafts. The user!Xperhaps a repair-shop technician!Xcan first lubricate the cone with engine oil, then press the small aperture of the boot down to the bottom of the cone, pull the large aperture onto the drive shaft, push the boot on the cone onto the drive shaft, bind both ends with steel clips, and finally cut off any excessive boot material. The whole replacement process can be completed within five minutes.

"With these universal rubber boots," Yu claims, "an auto shop's boot inventory can be reduced and its working efficiency enhanced."

Yuan Feng Fu was established back in 1978 and has built up an extensive store of experience in making rubber auto parts, including shock-absorber strut mountings, engine mountings, and rubber boots.

With a strong in-house R&D team, the company develops various types of rubber material for use in "FENG BEN" brand products. The firm claims a 60% share of the domestic replacement aftermarket.

Expanding from its solid foundation in the local market, Yuan Feng Fu has begun a series of international marketing campaigns to promote its high-quality, high-performance, competitively priced products in the international market this year.
