Wrought Enterprise Co. was established in 1997 and today is one of Taiwan's top makers of office automation (OA) chairs. The company concentrates on developing own-design, high-end chairs to meet the needs of an ever-changing world.

Ever since its inception Wrought Enterprises has focused on the development of innovative models which all, it insists, conform to ergonomic principles. Many of the products, which are made in a 28,800-square-foot factory in Taiwan's central Changhua County, have been granted patents for styling and/or structure.

Just recently the company introduced six new ergonomic OA-chair, school-chair, and barstool series. Each of the WR-320 series of OA chairs features pneumatic seat-height adjustment, a contoured seat and back, and a tilt mechanism, as well as a BIFMA-approved nylon base. The seat and back are made of plywood with a polypropylene (PP) cover, the armrest is of PP as well, and the frame comes in two color options, gray and black.

Management states that the introduction of these new products has been as successful as anticipated, and that its production lines for these models have been booked up three months in advance.

Besides developing its own designs, the company also welcomes original designs from customers around the world. It has sufficient capacity to help its customers materialize their own designs.

In addition to marketing its products in Taiwan, Wrought Enterprise also exports to Southeast Asia, the United States, Canada, Latin America, Europe, Africa, New Zealand, and Australia. During the past few years it has been working hard to achieve even deeper penetration of markets around the globe through participation in top international furniture shows. It will, for example, take part in the Cologne show in October and the Tokyo show in November this year.
