Cheer Young Stays on Top With R&D Focus

Since its establishment in 1965, Cheer Young Machinery Works Co., Ltd., one of Taiwan's top specialist producers of plastic-processing machines, has relied on solid research and development work to turn out ever better and more sophisticated machines for the global market.

The company has also placed much attention on production management to assure the high quality of its products, as well as providing top-notch after-sales support to its customers around the world.

Cheer Young attributes its success in the world plastics arena to the long-term efforts of its 60- plus-person R&D team in developing advanced production technologies. All of the company's employees have more than 15 years of experience in making a wide range of plastics processing machines.

Major products made by Cheer Young are six- color flexographic printing machines, LDPE (low- density polyethylene) zipper bag-making whole- plant equipment, automatic high-speed PP (polypropylene) blown-film machines, PVC (polyvinyl chloride) shrinkable film-making machines, T-die PE-sheet extruding machines, PE wrapping film-making machines, automatic PE- film rewinders, three-layer co-extrusion blown film-making machines, bag-making machines, and recycling machines.

Recently the company completed the development of two-layer stretch/cling film co-extrusion blown film making machine which is capable of turning out 120-165kgs of plastic films per hour. Most of the company's products are exported on a whole-plant equipment basis. The company is capable of designing plant layouts and providing know-how for customers to enhance their production.

Cheer Young says its PE wrapping film-making machine is among its hottest-selling models since PE materials are largely used for packaging food, agricultural, and chemical products.

The company states it has adopted the high- quality components to assure the reliability of its machines, including air rings, screws, dies and oscillating nip-roll devices.

Between March and November this year, Cheer Young will take part in three major international plastics machinery exhibitions, including Arabplast in Dubai, Enfiplast in Milan, and Andina-Pack in Bogota.
