Jiin Haur Industrial Co., one of Taiwan's leading manufacturers of garden tools, has recently announced two new products: the JH-28 battery-powered motor-operated edging shears and the JH-700 ratchet pruning shears.

The JH28 is a mobile garden cutting tool containing a set of electric-shear edgers and a stick-like handle. The handle is adjustable and can be extended from 85cm to 125cm, enabling easy operation. At the top of the handle are two buttons that must be pressed down simultaneously to allow operation; this safety feature protects children from injury should they come in accidental contact with the device. The fully charged battery provides about 45 minutes of power.

The traditional JH-700 shears is labor-saving, handy, and easy to maintain. The model can be used to prune boughs easily because of its triplex strength-saving design. The switch to open the shears can be turned with either hand, for flexibility. In addition, there is an oil lid at the end of the handle; users can grease blades by pulling the lid up and then using the sponge attached to the lid to grease the shear-blades.

Established in 1977, Jiin Haur is a dynamic maker of garden tool and invests over one million NT dollars each year in R&D projects. The company has obtained ISO9002 certification, and some of its products have Germany's TUV/GS standard approval. In addition to a factory in Changhua County, central Taiwan, the company has also expanded its operations to mainland China, and currently has one plant in Dongguan, Guangdong Province. It plans to establish one more plant, in Shanghai, in the near future.
