Channg Chin Fa: Quality Ballasts for Fluorescents

Although it has only been involved in the production of electronic ballasts and transformers for three years, Channg Chin Fa Technology Co. has already won a good reputation in the lighting industry.

Unlike other Taiwanese ballast makers, Channg Chin Fa has decided to run its factory in Taiwan and set up a plant in Luchu of Kaohsiung County, southern Taiwan. The company turns out more than 10,000 units of electronic ballasts and transformers per month. These products are manufactured on either an original equipment manufacture (OEM) or original design manufacture (ODM) basis.

The ballasts and transformers, featuring economical electricity consumption and longevity, can be applied to almost any kind of lamps, particularly fluorescent lamps. Currently Channg Chin Fa provides its products mainly to the domestic Taiwanese market, but will soon tap the markets in the U.S. and Europe.

To be more competitive, the company has cooperated with Energy & Resources Laboratories (ERL) of the government-funded Industrial Technology Research Institute to develop more advanced high-end ballasts and other related devices.

Over the past three years, Channg Chin Fa has fared well in the lighting industry and experienced a growing business volume. To meet the growth forecast for the market as a whole, the company plans to enhance its production capacity by expanding its plant on the island.
