Taiwan's OAV Equipment & Tools Inc. is now promoting its new series of panel-saw systems, which is loaded with many user-friendly features that make the models among the most efficient woodworking machines in the market.

The premium machines are designed for heavy-duty work, and feature ultra-sturdy bodies supported by one-piece cast-iron trunnion brackets instead of the usual sheet metal. Their out-triggers and carriages are bigger and thicker than those featured on rival machines, allowing them to bear larger and heavier workpieces. Their built-in dust-collect outlet efficiently keeps wood particles off the machines.

Control panels and saw-adjustment gear wheels are fixed on the front side of the machines, making operation significantly easier than with machines whose wheels and panels are on either the left or right side. The main saw blade and scoring saw on each series model are driven by a large horsepower motor and separately motor, respectively, eliminating the problems caused by the simultaneous running of the two blades with one motor, which is the case with machines supplied by the company's rivals, according to management.

Over the main blade there is a transparent cap called an overhead guard, a protective device that prevents injury to operators. The creative design has brought the granting of the all-important CE mark for the machines, qualifying the series for entry into the European market.

Other standard devices in the panel series include a cast-iron fence body, high/low extruded-profile rip fence, and alloy crosscut fence.

The machines come with numerous option accessories, including a hose-support plate & dust-vacuum hose, hold-down, and table side handle.

The company claims many competitive advantages in the production of saw machines, one of which is its rich trove of experience, with 26 years in the field. The company diversified into panel-saw machinery three years ago, adding this line to the production of band-saw machines for solid-wood pieces.
